Michael Ruiz is the Executive Director of the STEM Department for Dallas Independent School District. Dave talks to Michael about the current state of STEM education in Texas and the biggest challenges he has faced as a leader for one of the largest school districts in the state.

Michael J Ruiz is the Executive Director of STEM in the Teaching & Learning Department of Dallas ISD. Since 2008 he has served as a Dual-Language teacher, assistant principal, principal and parent in the district. Michael believes that our job as a school system is to create memories and make them as positive and permanent as possible.
